Surfaces with defective tangential varieties
Abstract
Surfaces with h-defective tangential varieties are classified for any h. Smooth surfaces with this property are pointed out. It is shown that varieties of osculating (of any order) to curves are not defective.The authors retain all rights to the original work without any restrictions.
