Investigation of the well-posedness of the mixed problem on the stability of fast shock waves in magnetohydrodynamics
AbstractIn the present work the question on the stability of fast magnetohydrodynamic shock waves is studied in the case of a polytropic gas under the assumption that the magnetic field is weak. With the help of techniques of dissipative energy integrals, an a priori estimate showing the well-posedness of the corresponding mixed problem on the stability of a fast shock wave is obtained.
