Equilibrium in asymmetric multimodal transport networks with capacity constrains
Abstract
The paper presents an equilibrium model in asymmetric multimodal transport networks with capacity constrains. It is shown that these networks may have no equilibrium flow pattern which satisfies the capacity constrains, but additional costs can be imposed on some network links, so that an equilibrium solution that satisfies the capacity constrains always exists. A method of computing both the equilibrium flow pattern and the additional costs is presented and is used in a simple numerical example.Downloads
