Nonlocal theory of longitudinal waves in thermoelastic bars
Abstract
The longitudinal waves in thermoelastic bars are investigated in the context of nonlocal theory. Using integral forms of constitutive equations, balance of momenta and energy, field equations are obtained. Then the frequency equation is found in generalized form. To obtain tangible results, an approximate procedure is applied and numerical results are given for short waves.Downloads
